November 13th – FLI HS Personal Statement Workshop

As part of the FLI HS Program, Alex Heimbach hosted an online workshop for high school seniors on personal statements. The key to a great personal statement is showing your personality. In this workshop, Ms. Heimbach covered how to craft a personal statement that shows who YOU are, from coming up with an idea to polishing the final draft. Key concepts included:

This workshop was meant to guide participants in their college applications as they prepare for life after their high school graduation. Around 40 FLI HS participants from high schools in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio attended the workshop.
