Future Institute celebrated its rising stars, community, and school spirit at one of Concept Schools' high schools: Chicago Math & Science Academy. Homecoming - A Night of Rising Stars was an opportunity for community members to network, connect with the Chicago Math & Science Academy (CMSA) community, and learn about Future Institute's work to bolster upward mobility while raising funds for CMSA students' scholarships in the Future Leaders Initiative (FLI) college program.
The Future Leaders Initiative (FLI) Program is designed to give first-generation, low-income students the flexibility to make their plan for success by choosing from various program options to complete the credit hour requirement each school year. The program options provide leadership skills and resources to foster college and career success. Additionally, FLI program participants are awarded a scholarship upon successful program completion.
Our goal was to raise $40,000 for CMSA graduates in the FLI Program at this event, and, thanks to attendees, donors, and sponsors, WE DID IT! ✨
