New Year Resolution 2019

Hello 2019! It’s officially a brand new year and I’m sure you’re thinking about how you can make 2019 the best year of your life yet. If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to volunteer and give back to your community more, think about contacting us at Future Institute. We offer opportunities to give back to your community by giving your time, your advice, or your donations for college students in need.

If you’d like to volunteer for Future Institute programs, you can do so in the following ways:

  1. Volunteer as a Mentor
Future Institute programs need mentors from all types of professions! As a mentor, you can play a significant role in guiding college students through their college experiences and into their careers. Most of the college students our programs are first generation college students and studies show that of these students who have a mentor are 10-15% more likely to advance to another year of college.
  2. Give an Internship or Job Opportunity
Because Future Institute’s mission is to promote Concept Schools graduates’ high school-to-college transition, college persistence, and career readiness by means of innovative, research-informed programs, we need the your help! Currently, we have over 4,000 high school graduates from seven states and a portion of those are college graduates in need of internships and jobs.
  3. Sponsor a Student via Scholarship
For each year that a student participates in Future Institute programs like our mentorship program areas, they earn a $1000 scholarship that goes directly to their college’s financial aid office. Due to the high cost of college tuition, we do all that we can to help our students persist through college, but our sponsors are a large part of how we support our students. Even if you can sponsor half a student’s scholarship for one year, any donation helps immensely!
