College is stressful for everyone. Having to balance grades, relationships, social activities, family, work, etc. can easily overwhelm anyone! All of these responsibilities sometimes means we neglect ourselves, which can lead to a mental breakdown. In honor of World Mental Health Day, here are some ways to care for your mental sanity:
Exercise– Sometimes a brief jog or some light stretching can help you regain some mental stability.
Talk to friends– Spend some time with your friends and talk to them about what you’ve been going through. Sometimes, just talking to someone you trust can take the weight off of your shoulders.
Do something you enjoy– Treat yourself! Go out to eat, watch some TV, or play some video games! Whatever you choose to do, make sure it allows you to de-stress and mentally relax.
